The Windows taskbar is that bottom or top bar by which we can switch between windows of programs in Windows, we will also see on it the current date and time, the Start menu and the so-called tray bar with applications running in the background. How do we hide this taskbar if we want, for example, to increase the workspace for programs or watch some movie in full-screen mode, and the taskbar gets in the way?
To hide the taskbar, we need to right-click on it. The drop-down options will then appear:
Select here -> Taskbar Settings. A new window with system settings will appear:
Check the option "Automatically hide the taskbar in computer mode" and the bar should automatically hide.
Taskbar vs. full-screen mode
Another way to hide the taskbar in Windows, for example, when watching a video on Chrome on Youtube or somewhere else, and the taskbar does not want to hide, is to restart the "Windows Explorer" process. To do this, just open the Windows Task Manager with, for example, the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Esc, go to the Processes tab, right-click on the Windows Explorer process and click the "Restart" option. The taskbar will restart and should no longer appear for no reason.
While watching a video on Chrome, we can also press the function key at the top of the keyboard - F11, which should force full-screen mode and hide the taskbar.
Still another option for hiding the taskbar is to use external software, such as. Taskbar Hide. There are more similar programs, including ones that allow you to change many of the taskbar's settings, appearance and functions. The best way to find such a program would be to type a phrase like taskbar software or something similar into English Google.
